Cooper's first haircut!!!

Cooper is now 19 months old and has the hair of a 3 year old girl! I can't tell you how many times he's been called a girl this summer,( that's so crazy to me, he's 1000% boy!), but finally Jeff and I decided it was time to cut that hair. I know those gorgeous curls will never come back so it was really hard for me, but it was time. He has had a few bang trims but never has had a hair cut. I took him to a kiddie barber, he sat in his "car car", and watched his Elmo's world movie, happy as can be. I couldn't believe it, I was very impressed and so thankful he was cooperating! Half way through he told the stylist, "all done", but then continued to sit perfectly, God bless Elmo! The long hair suits his personality so much that I knew I still wanted to keep it semi long. I think it turned out really cute! This is all after our long night at the ER last night, what a trooper. He hit his forhead at the park yesterday on the playground step and had a hematoma the size of an ostrich egg. It was very frightening, urgent care sent us straight to the ER. After waiting for over 2 hours, it had gone down a lot, and he was acting himself, just restless from being in the waiting room. The Dr said he looked fine but to wake him up 3 times last night to make sure he was ok. Today it's just a bad bump and bruise, he is such a tough guy...

camping

The boys and I spent 4 days camping in Santa Ana this week. It was so peaceful and relaxing! We filled our days exploring, taking long walks, bike rides, playing board games and sport games. It was great! The boys love being outdoors, we had perfect weather, and there was so much shade. Surprisingly they survived without any video games! Cooper just had a ball, he loved the forest and the see saw at the park. He did awesome sleeping in the camper and being away from home. His new word is "camping".
