Busy Fall
WOW! I haven't updated our blog in 2 months... that shows you how busy we really have been. Three kids in 3 different schools, 3 diffrent drop offs and pick ups! Homework and middle school projects, (why so many u jr high teachers??), soccer practice twice a week, football practice 3 times a week, games on Saturdays, whew- its been crazy! On top off that I can proudly say Coop is officially potty trained for over a month now!
The boys have adjusted great to their new schools, Griffin is definitly a teenager now :/ he's made a lot of friends and would rather major in being social then academics :) What happened to the boy with his nose in a book?? He has changed completly, he's lost over 10 pounds since starting football, and just continues to grow and grow! He's wearing size mens 12 shoe right now- can u believe that?? His passions are video games, football, hip hop music, and texting!! It's very strange to watch your son become this man... its tough!
Holden is doing great in school, he was awarded student of the month this month! He's a ham and loved by his teacher and classmates. He's been playing goalie a lot in soccer and is a hustler for his team! He's made so many friends that live in our neighborhood since starting public school and it's neat to see them all running around playing together. He was tested last week for celiac disease since I have it and his poor weight gain, we are waiting for results.
Cooper - oh my lil Cooper! The 2's were a breeze for us, no terrible 2's hardly at all. Now that he's approaching 3... watch out! He's testy, strong willed, and can be aggressive all of a sudden. Dont get me wrong he is the sweetest thing but has developed a side to him that will push limits and can be a real stinker! Luckily I know this game, been there before and keep reminding myself its temporary (fingers crossed) and a phase. He has been so much fun with Halloween, I think he was in T-Rex charector the whole month! The holidays are just so much fun with a toddler. Everything is so exciting and magical! His speach therapy is going great, he's loving preschool, and is my my best buddy. We really are together almost 24/7. He's surviving being dragged all over to the boys sports events and even knows the other kids names on the teams and roots for them too! He's still very into animals, more reptiles and "creepy crawlies" right now, adores books, and outside. He's not a big toy player which is different because my older 2 were big action figure boys. He likes puzzles and blocks and loves to help me cook- he's great in the kitchen :) He loooves to sing... and we are his biggest fans!
We have definitly weathered some storms lately and life can be chaotic and overwhelming at times. I am so thankful for the health of our family, and our faith in God. I've been having stomach issues again (yuck!!) and have developed an ulcer- which didnt shock me at all! Hopefully I will start to feel better soon, it's no good when mama isnt well!! I am still looking for a job, I had a great interview and will be hired in the future for a great cocktail waitressing job at a dueling piano bar right down the street, weekend nights, so I wont have to be away from the boys during the day at all. They are rennovating so it wont be for awhile. I need to work NOW though so I am still looking, its not easy in this economy, the kids schedule I have to work around, and the fact that I havent worked in a decade! Wish me luck... :)
Jeff is working hard as usual and is a GREAT help with the boys, I am very lucky. Hope all your families are doing well and will be enjoying the holiday season!!
